Abstract
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the mammographic interpretation in breast scareening center.

Materials and Methods: We underwent a survey about the mammographic interpretation in breast cancer screening centers. We sent the questionnaire at 84 breast cancer screening sites and the response rate was 53.6% (45/84 sites). Survey included the scale of center, education of mammographic interpretaion, mammographic audit.

Results: The number of mammography per month was 50-500 in 86.6%. The age limitation of mammography was age 40 in 17.8%, age 30 in 42.2%. All facilites performed both MLO and CC views. Ultrasound could be possible in 33.3% and image guided biopsy in 24.4% at the same center. There were full charge radiologists of mammographic interpretation in 77.8% and their careers were 2-10 years in 60% and over the 11 years in 25%. About 55.6% radiologists had took the education of mammography during their residency and 44.4% in quality assurance program. The 82.2% of radiologists interpreted the mammogram according to BI-RADS, but they interpreted category 1 in 46.7% and category 0 in 44.4% in case of negative findings in the background of dense breast.

Conclusion: The mammographic interpretation in breast cancer screening center was done by the experienced radiologists, but the concordance rate of interpretation was low. To achieve the improvement, continuing education about the BIRADS are essential.
